this sketch really got me you guys

It has been two weeks since my last confession (newsletter), and a lot has happened:

  • I reviewed Sasquatch Sunset for The Daily Beast and went semi-long on why 2024 is the year of Bigfoot.

  • My cat ate one of the dog’s antidepressants and had the time of her life.

  • I found out that my hard-hitting investigative work is cited in the Wikipedia page for McDonaldland, re: the precise taxonomy of Grimace

Most importantly, a massive scandal broke out in my Ozarks hometown during the Stronger Men’s Conference, an annual megachurch Festival For Boys (FFB). Last year’s opening ceremony featured a tank crushing cars; this year’s featured a sword swallower. The scandal occurred immediately after the sword swallower left the stage, when a visiting preacher accused the performer of embodying the “Jezebel spirit.” I’ll let you explore that on your own time.

ooh la la it’s time for another creative Q&A
